Yep, I've done it - the D300 is mine! Found it in LCE yesterday and I've bought it today! Big Hooray! Can't wait to get out and clicking with it!

I know, I'm gonna be at risk of posting too many journals soon! No posts for years and then 2 in one week! Anyways, I'm getting ready for a new camera. I love my D40x, and don't get me wrong, I'll keep it for a back up if I can afford another but I'd love a newer, higher spec model. Right now, it's between a D300s or a D7000. I suppose it depends what  kind of kit I can get with it really, so if one comes with a decent lens, I'll probably go for that one. I won a competition the other day too for a photography course voucher - it's a toss up between a studio/portrait day course or a landscape day course. Can't really decide which one! Anyw

So, I've been inactive on here for god knows how long! Thought I'd give it a go and start uploading some more recent images. I'll be honest, photography has fallen onto the back burner for the moment. My old job gave me plenty of time and opportunities for getting out and about with the camera but thats just not so do-able now! I have to do it whenever I can between visiting family, working all the time and other bits and bobs.. Off to the lake district in August though so that will hopefully give me more ammo for landscape stuff! Anywhos, thought I'd pop in a little plug for a friend of mine.
